You can now manage your repeat prescriptions online. This new service allows our patients an alternative way to order prescriptions using our interactive web site.

You will need to register for interactive services with the practice first. 
  
HOW DO I REGISTER?  

Registration is important to ensure you are the only person who can book appointments online.  

To access these services online you will need to collect an application form from the surgery. Complete, sign and bring this to the surgery together with 2 forms of identification (one with a photograph and one recent document showing your name and current address). If you have any difficulty with this please speak to one of our receptionists.

We will process your application and post your log in and password details to you. Once you receive this you should then be able to log on and begin booking your appointments online. You should change your password as soon as you have logged into SystmOnline. You can now log on and begin managing your prescriptions. 
  
WHICH MEDICATIONS CAN I ORDER? 

Remember you can only order medications which are authorised as repeat prescriptions and are due within the next 14 days. You can view medications which are not yet due but will not be able to reorder them. Medications which do not appear on the list are not authorised as repeat prescriptions and cannot be reordered. 
  
WHAT’S THE FREE TEXT BOX FOR?

The free text box can be used to give us extra information. For example:

pillpacket

- you can tell us if you want your prescription to go to a particular pharmacy  
- you can tell us to remove a medication from your list if you are no longer taking it  
- if your medications become “out of step” you could ask us to rectify the problem.

Please do not ask clinical questions or request medications which are not on the list as we cannot reply and this may delay your treatment.

Security and availability
The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As with all websites, there may, however, from time to time be short periods when it is not available in order to carry out essential maintenance. BPC anticipates this will be a rare occurrence. 
The website is simple and small meaning that most patients will have no trouble loading the page, whatever their internet provider, PC spec, or bandwidth. 
The SystmOnline service has been fully tested by TPP and CFH, and has been accredited. As such, it is fully secure.

Information entered is available only to members of staff with appropriate access rights at your GP practice - i.e.those managing appointment booking, repeat prescribing and patient registration.Your personal information will not be shared with any third parties.”
All communication between the client/server is 128 bit encrypted.  
Do not share your user name or password with anyone. 
  
WHAT HAPPENS IF PEOPLE ABUSE THE SERVICE?  
Please use the service responsibly. In the case of abuse BPC can revoke your log indetails, stopping you accessing the service. Examples of irresponsible use may include, but are not limited to: 
Registering at a GP practice when you have no intention of using it as your usual GP practice
Registering at a GP practice outside your catchment area, booking appointments you have no intention of attending, repeatedly booking and then cancelling appointments
Repeatedly requesting prescriptions that you do not need
