Children's Immunisation Schedule

At two months old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (DTaP/IPV/Hib) 5-in-1 vaccine
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection and an oral vaccine against rotavirus infection to help prevent diarrhoea and sickness

At three months old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (DTaP/IPV/Hib) - second dose
  • Meningitis C (meningococcal group C) (MenC) - one injection  and rotavirus second dose.

At four months old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (DTaP/IPV/Hib) third dose - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) second dose - one injection

Between 12-13 months old:

  • Measles, mumps and rubella  (the MMR vaccine)
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) thirddose - one injection
  • Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and meningitis C (Hib/MenC) - booster doses in one injection

vaccination

At three years four months or soon after:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) and polio (dTaP/IPV or DTaP/IPV) - one injection
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) second dose (pre-school booster) - one injection

Girls aged 12-13 years:

  • Cervical cancer (HPV) vaccine vaccine to protect against human papilloma virus types 16 and 18 and genital warts

At 13 to 18 years:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus and polio (Td/IPV) - one injection

At 13 to 15 years:

  • Men C booster
